Sovereign God is the designer of love, purity, holiness, patience, honesty and infinitely more. And that is how He made humanity.

Why then, do we pridefully insist on explanations from Sovereign God, to the things we differ with? Of course, the practical queries we have of the blameless that suffer and of proper justice are appropriate, yet not to the level where we can demand that the Supreme God to provide you and I an explanation of His seemingly stupid handling of things.

The Bible says:

'For all have sinned (done wrongs stuff) and all are in need of the glory of God.' (Romans 3:23)
So, solely being a 'really good girl or boy ? and doing many 'good' things is unable to save anyone from the dire punishment of the sinnful conduct, thinking and attitudes, only Jesus Christ can. If all one does in their life is be the perfect person and even go to church, that will not save anybody and will not enable anyone to enter heaven. This means, going to hell, also known as everlasting agony:

'For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.' (Romans 6:23)

Correct, but we cannot eliminate God's judging of sinnful things, because His Scriptures pronounces far, far more as regards His piety and judging of sinnful things, than His great love.
You cannot understand the Immortal God using our thinking and our life. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled; and the one who humbles himself shall be exalted."' (Luke 18:9-14)

The Teacher of the law in this teaching is not doing the supposedly ?bad' sins like kidnap, as we say, however he did not receive mercy by God.
The tax gatherer commits ?bad' sins but was pardoned by Sovereign God, given that he really repented.

'I Beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that yee giue vp your bodies a liuing sacrifice, holy, acceptable vnto God, which is your reasonable seruing of God. (Romans 12:1)

'but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.' (1Peter 3:15)

Put in a nutshell: God becomes your chief executive. Permanently. And as Scripture commands, we live for God, reading the Scriptures, in? prayer day by day, telling others who God is, and assisting some others when guided to. God Most High, becomes our campaign and goal for the remainder of our future.
